Food in the Classroom

  • Students will be encouraged by their classroom teacher to bring in a healthy snack every day to fight off those hunger pains and to assist in keeping them focused. However, in order to keep all students safe in the classroom please keep the following things in mind:
  • Please remind your child never to share any type of food or drink with another student in the classroom or at lunch. We have many students with allergies and would not want to cause another child to have a reaction.
  • Some of our CME students have severe allergies which may limit the type of snacks that can be brought by all students into a particular classroom. While rare, if this is the case in your child’s class, you will receive a letter from our district nurse outlining what types of snacks your child can bring.
  • Parents, you always make our Holiday Parties at CME so much fun for all our Eagles. To make sure the fun continues for everyone, please remember that if you donate food for the classroom party that it is pre-packaged and that the ingredients are clearly labeled.
  • If you have any questions about CME food items in the classroom, please feel free to reach out to your child’s teacher or the office staff.
