Chromebook won't turn on / blank screen :
Ensure the chromebook is plugged in and has power
Reset the machine by pressing/holding: REFRESH + POWER Buttons
Frozen Screen / Chromebook won't respond:
Hold down the Power button until it shuts down. Then restart the device.
No Sound?
Make sure the sound is not muted or turned down. Restart the device.
Chromebook running slow?
You may have too many Chrome tabs open. Close the old ones you are not using.
Restart the device if the issue persists
Wi-Fi connection issues?
Try to restart your device and if possible, move closer to the area where your modem/router is housed.
Why can't I access certain websites on my Chromebook?
Your Chromebook may have restrictions set by the school or organization.
Other Tips:
Avoid installing extra Chrome extensions (unless specified or installed by the district) These can slow your device down and potentially cause software issues.
To avoid damage to the screen, please do not place anything heavy on top of your Chromebook.
Please avoid eating and drinking when using your Chromebook.
Please avoid putting stickers on your Chromebook in case it needs to repaired or swapped out.
Do not deface or remove the CMSD asset tag sticker on your Chromebook.
Do not attempt to repair or take apart your Chromebook.
