Measure of Academic Progress
MAP testing in reading, mathematics, and language usage occur during three testing windows per school year. Students included in the testing represent students enrolled in 9th through 12th grade, in select English as a second language, special education, and regular education courses.
After each test window teachers are able to use the information generated from the assessment to identify skill sets each student needs to develop. In addition, teachers will use the information to focus on differentiating instruction to maximize student academic growth by implementing interventions and strategies to meet each student’s needs.
Teachers continue to participate in workshops to analyze and interpret MAP data, apply the information from reports to instructional practices, and determine individual growth targets for students.
Additional information on the MAP Assessments may be found at www.nwea.org. Please call or email your child's teacher or counselor if you have questions or if you need additional information about the test and results.
