Student Entrance Requirements For IB CRP:
*West Charlotte is currently in the CP Program Candidacy Phase.
To qualify, students must be promoted to 11th grade, pass appropriate CMS prerequisite courses, and complete the 10th grade MYP Personal Project.
Students in the IB CP Program take classes that fall under the following guidelines and requirements
A minimum of TWO IB Diploma Program courses, one of the two must be two years long.
Current IB course choices include: English, History of the Americas, Science (Biology) Math (Applications and Interpretations), or IB Electives (Visual Arts, Theatre, Business, Philosophy, Psychology, Sports and Exercise Science).
IB Personal and Professional Skills- This is the capstone course for the CP, also earns the extra quality point for being an IB course.
World Language (1 more section at any level)- students can elect to continue in their current world language, or study a second language as an online or dual enrollment course.
One or Two Career Courses per year in the same career field.
Career field options: Army JROTC, Culinary Arts, Nursing, Cosmetology and Interior Design
