Microsoft Word & PowerPoint

Students in Microsoft IT Academies benefit from world-class Microsoft curriculum and software tools to tackle real-world challenges in the classroom environment. In the first part, students will learn to use the newest version of Microsoft Word interface, commands, and features to create, enhance, customize, share and create complex documents, and publish them. In the second part, students will learn to use the newest version of Microsoft PowerPoint interface, commands, and features to create, enhance, customize, and deliver presentations. English language arts are reinforced.

Content in this course aligns with the following industry credential: the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) in Word and/or PowerPoint.

Multimedia and Web Page Design

This course focuses on desktop publishing, graphic image design, computer animation, multimedia production and web page design. Communication skills and critical thinking are reinforced through software applications. English language arts and arts are reinforced.

Adobe Visual Design

Students in Microsoft IT Academies benefit from world-class Microsoft curriculum and software tools to tackle real-world challenges in the classroom environment. This course is a project-based course that develops ICT, career, and communication skills in print and graphic design using Adobe tools. English language arts are reinforced.

Content in this course aligns with the following industry credential: Adobe Photoshop, Indesign, and Illustrator certification.

Adobe Digital Design

Students in Microsoft IT Academies benefit from world-class Microsoft curriculum and software tools to tackle real-world challenges in the classroom environment. This course is a project-based course that develops ICT, career, and communication skills in Web design and animation using Adobe tools. English language arts are reinforced.

Content in this course aligns with the following industry credential: Adobe Dreamweaver certification.

Adobe Video Design

Students in Microsoft IT Academies benefit from world-class Microsoft curriculum and software tools to tackle real-world challenges in the classroom environment. This course is a project-based course that develops ICT, career, and communication skills in video editing using Adobe tools. English language arts are reinforced.
