My educational journey started in Orange County, NC. Once I graduated from high school, I attended Durham Technical Community College and then transferred to North Carolina Central University to obtain my bachelors degree.
After working for the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum & Instruction in Chapel Hill, NC, I decided to obtain my teaching license and at the same time I earned my Masters degree from North Carolina A&T University.
I taught at North Mecklenberg High School for six years and then transitioned to Instructional Coordinator at Vance High School. In 2018, I became one of the districts first Pathway Development Coordinators still serving at Vance High School
Currently, I reside in Kings Mountain, NC with my husband, son and puppy.
