Music Curriculum

Our Hidden Valley Elementary Music Scholars begin their music journey in Kindergarten with Ms. Johnson where they learn to confidently use their singing voice and listening ears as they feel and play the steady beat of Music. As they experience the steady beat of music they grow to understand rhythm patterns and the difference between the two within music.

Expectations for our learners include singing, playing various instruments, music reading and writing while responding to various music theory and history concepts. Music content taught increases and continues with each advancing grade level. General Music matriculation occurs at HVE on a weekly basis for all Kindergarten through 5th grade levels.
