Login Information
This resource is only available to CMS Students & Staff using your ONE Access login information.
Students - Username = CMS + Student ID# (Example: Cms1234567890)| This is a change for the 2025-26 school year.
PIN/Password = MM/DD birthday (Example: July 4 is 0704)
Staff - Username = 10-digit NC ID# | PIN/Password = Last for digits of your NC ID# (Example: 1234567890)
The Sabre Catalogue can be accessed through Launchpad and the Follett App
To request a book, log into your account using your NCEd Cloud information. Media Staff will pull the book and have it ready for you to pick up.
The Sora App can be accessed through Launchpad and the Sora App

Click Find My School.
If Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools isn’t one of the schools that pops up, click My school isn’t listed at the bottom of the screen, then type in South Meck
Select South Meck, then follow the prompts to log in.

How to Add a Public Library on Sora
How to Add a Public Library on Sora
After you log in, follow these steps to add two public libraries:
Select hamburger/options menu (three lines) in the top right corner.
Select Add a Public Library
Type Charlotte Meck and select the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library. Select This is my library.
REPEAT STEP 1.
Type in NC and select NC Kids Digital Library.
Select This is my library.Click Search for a book.
Check the Search all of my libraries option
Find a book you would like to read and check it out by clicking Borrow!
If it says Place hold the book is not yet available. Place a hold on that one and find another one.
If SORA asks you to sign in, your library card is your Student ID #.

Libby is a free app where you can enjoy ebooks, digital audiobooks, and magazines from your public library. You can stream titles with Wi-Fi or mobile data, or download them for offline use and read anytime, anywhere.
All you need to get started is your CMS Student ID# or Staff NC ID#
Libby is only for digital titles. It doesn't include any physical materials from your public library.
