Communication
Please check my webpage weekly. I do not send out mass emails but will post important current information about homework, quizzes, and tests on my website. Quarterly progress reports are expected to be returned signed by parent or guardian. Students will be given a log to keep up with their own assignments and quiz/test grades in addition to accessing PowerSchool.
Extra Help
I am available on Tuesdays after school from 4:15 until 5:15pm, other afternoons or mornings by appointment only. Students may sign up outside my door or email me. It is first come/first serve and students are expected to be picked up promptly at the Front of the building.
Attendance:
Data indicates that attendance is CRUCIAL to your success in class. You are expected to arrive to class on time with all necessary materials and begin working quietly on the Warm Up when the tardy bell rings. If you are tardy, quietly sign in at the front and take one of the front seats.
Participation/Assignments:
Students are expected to take their own notes, complete assignments on time, and ask/answer questions.
Electronics should be off and not used unless permission is granted ahead of time. Warm ups, notes and assignments should be organized and kept throughout the year and used to study for quizzes and tests.
Homework;
Homework will be assigned every class unless there is a quiz or test. Each assignment is worth 10 points and due next class unless specifically told otherwise. Students are responsible for noting the assignment in the assignment tracker. Full credit for assignments completed on time, maximum of 7 points for late assignments turned in before the unit assessment, 5 points after the test, and 0 points if not turned in at all. Grades will only be assigned during the quarter it was assigned.
Make-up Work:
An absent student has 5 class days to hand in any missing assignments or to take a missed test or quiz. It is expected that a make-up quiz/test be completed outside of class time before school, you will only fall further behind if class instruction time is used. It is the student’s responsibility to follow up with the teacher and make an appointment. Students present when assignment is due may receive less than full credit for that assignment. Absent students will receive full credit provided the assignment is turned in.

It’s a cinch by the inch but hard by the yard!
Don’t get overwhelmed! I want to help you succeed and feel confident in your understanding of math. Math concepts build on each other so take time to ask questions or see me as we go along.
