PSAT/SAT Math Workshops, Oct 6th @ 1:30-4pm; and Saturday, Oct 9th @ 9am-Noon, online at Google Meet above.
Please bring Chromebook, a graphing calculator, PSAT Booklet, and sign up using the link above to ensure we have enough space or if calculators are needed. If you are having any problems, please make sure you are signing in with your google account. Space is limited to 25 so please sign up ASAP.

Sophomores take a practice PSAT, Juniors take the actual PSAT.
November
Sophomores also take the Pre-ACT, a scaled back version of the ACT specifically for sophomores. (rescheduled to Dec 6th)
December:
Re-scheduled Pre-ACT for 10th graders on Tuesday, Dec 6th.
Parent and student meeting scheduled by counselors for Friday, Dec 16th
Students are given access to ACT Prep materials in Edgenuity
PSAT Results delivered to students in their Language Arts class prior to the holidays.
Please access the College Board link below and use the ID and password provided in your report to obtain actual test results
January:
ACT Math workshops are scheduled and put on February Calendar
Students not requiring tutorial assistance can start preparing for the ACT now!
February:
Students to sign up for ACT Math and Science workshops using link above which will be provided shortly
Goal to have core teachers of juniors to administer the current ACT practice test in four parts, students may do this independently if they don't take the practice tests in their core classes.
March:
ACT scheduled for Tuesday, February 27th

Please sign up and log on your Chromebook. The first hour of each Saturday will be for taking the 60 min practice test. You are not obligated to stay for the whole period and welcome to come at 10am on Saturdays if you have already taken the test. There are 60 questions and it will take at least two sessions to go over all the questions.

Test 1 English Test (75 Questions in 45 minutes) - starts on pg 12
Test 2 Math Test (60 Questions in 60 minutes- calculator active) - starts on pg 24 (Workshop)
Test 3 Reading Test (40 Questions in 35 minutes) - starts on pg 32
Test 4 Science Test (40 Questions in 35 minutes) - starts on pg 40

Please note that the UserID for the majority of students has "cms" in lowercase right before their school ID number. There are a few exceptions so please email me if you have any problems.
I will need to set students up in a class and set up your password. Please email me at joanne.rowe@cms.k12.nc.us if you would like access to this material.
Key current link to use is from Khan Academy. If you have a smart phone, they have an App that includes being able to score practice tests.
