  • If the behavior of a student starts to distract the learning in the classroom or cause a threat to others, there will be consequences. There are steps the teacher will take before a referral and they are:
    1. Small redirection (I will privately ask the student to redirect themselves and think about their choices via hall conference, post-it note, etc.)
    2. Verbal Warning
    3. Cool Off Corner (classroom isolation or seat change) or bounce to another classroom on the team or within math discipline
    4. Written Intervention/Student Reflection/Parent Contact
    5. Office Referral
