It's your Time to Shine with your own WEBSITE ! You are already GREAT many things. Now show the world by creating your own Google Sites IB Portfolio website. Your website will house your MYP IB portfolio allowing you to share your IB Criterion skills and examples with the world just as professional portfolios do.
What Does An IB Portfolio Contain ?
IB Portfolio starts with a home page then you will create 9 more pages. Name them:
Math
Lang and Lit
Individuals and Societies
Design
Science
Language Aquisition
Arts
Health and PE
Community Actions (Service as Action
Once you've made your pages, Open EACH PAGE, Go to the Insert menu, add a link, embed, text box or photo of...
the IB MYP rubric for that area
YOUR best work samples for each area of the rubric to prove your skill level
A narrative reflection of your growth IN YOUR OWN WORDS
Read on for how to enhance and update each page.
10 Easy Steps to Create your website Pages
Go to sites.google.com
hit the plus sign to create a site or use a template if you wish
Name the site but do use your last name on the portfolio
Add to the home page
Create a page
name the first one math
Repeat 9 more times for all the IB Pages listed above
Publish (give it a name if you need to rename it but dont' use your whole last name)
Copy the published link
Share that in your teacher's Canvas as instructed
you must post a working clickable link to the discussion
Your clickable link must be a google site
Now Add Rubric, Audio visual or text Evidence of your work, and Narrative Reflections to Each Page
Dont SKIP step 2 or you will be adding text to the footnote of each page!
Open your site
Click the pencil arrow in the bottom right if you dont see it already
Click over to the pages menu by clicking the word Pages at right (under the blue "publish button)
You will see a list of all the pages you created in your site.
click the title of the page you wish to add content to.
the page will open up at left BUT
In order to add things to it you must move from Pages to Insert. Do that by clicking the word "insert" menu top right (under the publish button )
You will see 4 options. Texgt box Images, embed or Drive. Click Drive if it is from drive. Otherwise Click Embed <> or images
Select the item from your Drive or Paste your embed code or upload your image
Insert additional text and graphics as desired from the insert page. Notice you have content blocks you can click
Insert a text box with your narrative reflection on that evidence

How do you do it
what did you learn was it worth it?
what you would do differently last time?
Go to the Next page and repeat steps 1-11 until you have added a rubric, evidence and narrative reflection to all 10 pages

Creat an Avatar - use any photo, or design one in any avatar creator tool or Canva Edu. then Upload your avatar image
Create images on Canva
Create Subpages
How to create a subpage
go to sites.google.com and open the Help Desk Portfolio website you made.
Click "pages"
Click the Snowman next the page you want
.select Add a Subpage
Title that page the name of the lesson you just completed and create the page

Copy from sites you love. How to do they look?
The best way to learn is by playing around on Sites and learning from each other and mentor sites they love!

*Real world- As you enter high school you will have a full portfolio of great work leading to your IB diploma. Even if you dont continue ot the DP program, you can use this to get a job or get into college. Before you graduate you can take it with you! See leaving CMS for more on how to make a copy of it so it doesn't disappear and move it to their Personal Google Drive account to keep. It is also a good visual to them of which documents they wish to save because 13 years of google docs can be overwhelming to try to save for posterity
