Highlights of Summer Bridge:
Summer Bridge Program is reserved for graduating seniors
Six-week program in which students are enrolled in classes based on their performance on a placement test given at CPCC
Courses are offered Monday through Thursday (from 8:00am - 1:05pm)
Located on ALL six campuses
Those who successfully complete the Summer Bridge Program can earn up to six hours of college credit
Students are only allowed two unexcused absences during the program. If they exceed the three absences they will be dismissed from the program.
In addition to classes in English, study skills and math, students will participate in other activities designed to build academic skills and create a sense of community.

Highlights of the Opportunity Scholarship
A career-training scholarship offered to high school graduates from select CMS high schools.
Cover the full cost of attendance to CPCC – tuition, books and fees for two years.
Students selected for the scholarship will also receive a notebook computer.

Recipients will receive the benefit from leadership development, service learning, and peer mentoring opportunities as a part of an intentional community. Over the course of your educational journey, you will participate in a customized seminar series, volunteer projects and help to successfully orient new students into the Presidential Scholars Program. This merit-based honor will be awarded to 30 students each academic year.

The Merancas Scholarship is available to 2018 high school seniors enrolled in a career-focused, technical field that will prepare them for employment at graduation.
Available to any student who is a Mecklenburg County resident, the Merancas Scholarship is a two-year scholarship award that will cover the complete cost of attendance to CPCC—tuition and fees—for the fall and spring terms. Merancas Scholars must maintain a 3.0 Grade Point Average to retain the scholarship.
The Ezequiel Vega Honorary Scholarship is available to Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) students in any Associate Degree program who have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Preference will be given to DACA students in a Business Administration Degree program. An interview with the Scholarship Committee may also be requested as part of the application process.
This scholarship was established in 2017 to honor the the commitment and dedication of lifelong learner Ezequiel Vega, a Central Piedmont alumnus who graduated in 2013 and transferred to Queens University of Charlotte.
