At North Mecklenburg High School we offer five Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathways. Student will choose one of the five pathways (Computer Programming, Marketing, Business Management, Fashion Design, Graphic & Digital Design) in their 8th grade year (during registration), and will follow the 4 year plan throughout high school.
Students who successfully complete 4 CTE courses within the same pathway, one of which needs to be a "completer" or higher level class (*), will take the ACT Work Keys Assessment their senior year. This assessment determines whether or not a student earns the National Career Readiness Certificate.
Choosing a career that you like and you are good at will be a big part of your future happiness.
