About Ms. B

I am a native of Charlotte, North Carolina and a graduate of Western Carolina University with degrees in Communications and Business Administration and Law. Before teaching, I worked in corporate America for sixteen years as a Franchise Operations Manager for a company that specialized in training Fortune 500 Companies in Information Technology. Because of my love for entrepreneurship, in 2009, I successfully launched my own business, and it is still running strong today!!! One of my favorite entrepreneurial quotes, is “A lot of people have ideas, but there are few who decide to do something about them now. Not tomorrow. Not next week. But today. The true entrepreneur is a doer, not a dreamer." -Nolan Bushnell, Entrepreneur.

Because of my love for young people and my desire to see them succeed, I transitioned into the school system, and the transition has been the best decision by far! I LOVE TEACHING!!! It is my commitment not only to see our Vikings succeed in the classroom, but I want to make sure the Vikings that encounter my presence are equipped with the necessary tools to transition into the real world.

I also serve as North Meck's Men's and Women's Head Cross Country Coach and the Women's Head Track and Field Coach. I am an active member of the Rho Psi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. And in my free time, I love spending time with my family, friends, and serving the community. My greatest joy is helping others discover their fullest potential!! I look forward to a fantastic and rewarding school year!
