About Ms. Berkey

My name is Beth Berkey, and I teach 7th and 8th Grade Language Arts at Albemarle Road Middle School! This is my 3rd year at ARMS, but my 8th year teaching. I am originally from Cleveland, Ohio where I grew up with my parents, brother (Brian), sister (Brittany), and dog (Carlos). After graduating from high school, I attended Penn State where I earned my Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education (English and Communications Grades 7-12) with a minor in English. In addition, I earned my Master's Degree in Educational Leadership in 2015 from Queen's University of Charlotte, which made me a licensed principal. I am currently a part of the Teacher Leader Program as a Multi-Classroom Leader.

Fun Facts:

1. I love watching sports, especially Penn State Football, and all Cleveland Sports teams (Browns, Cavs, and Indians)!

2. My favorite food is watermelon.

3. I am a certified personal trainer and work part-time at Madabolic Inc. where I teach six interval-based strength and conditioning training classes each week.

4. I wake up at 5:00am every day before school to work out!

5. I cannot leave my house without my water bottle, chap stick, and gum!
