About Mr. Vicario

I am originally from El Paso, TX. I graduated with honors from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine.

I have a Master's Degree in Organization, Information, Learning Sciences from the University of New Mexico.

Before moving to Charlotte, I taught English as a foreign language in Gremi, Republic of Georgia. I enjoy experiencing new cultures and love when students share their culture in class.

I have lived in Charlotte since 2012. I taught eight years at Vance (now Chambers), where I was a lead teacher and department chair.

This is my second year at Berry.

In my free time, I enjoy working on small projects around my house, gardening, travelling, and spending time with friends.

I enjoy learning languages, but my proficiency varies. Although I'm Mexican-American, my first language is English. My Spanish ability is conversational and I continue to work on improving it. I'm also conversational in Russian (I studied abroad in St. Petersburg, Russia & Chisinau, Moldova). I've also dabbled in Romanian, Georgian, and Slovene in my college days.
