8th Grade

The first part of our class will be spent doing lessons on developing metacognitive skills that aid in vocabulary and reading comprehension across all subject areas.

These metacognitive skills are split into three parts:

1) Listening comprehension

2) Transitional Metacognition

3) Guided Metacognition

The second part of our class will be focused on a variety of skills individualized to your students' needs. This includes

1) Study skills

2) Executive functioning skills

3) Social skills

4) Content support for core classes

5) Small group/1:1 time for specific goals
