Literacy: Imagine learning
Modules are comprised of 3 units with daily lessons.
-Modules build literacy & science/citizenship skills
-Include “habits of character”
-Read fiction & nonfiction
-Develop speaking & listening skills via cooperative learning
SKILLS BLOCK FOCUS STANDARDS
-Demonstrate understanding of spoken words, syllables and sounds (phonemes)
-Know and apply grade level phonics and word analysis skills in decoding words.
-Read with sufficient accuracy and fluency to support comprehension.
-Demonstrate command of the conventions of standard English capitalization, punctuation and spelling when writing.
Math: OPEN Up
-Open Up Resources K–5 Math fosters the development of mathematics learning communities in classrooms, gives students access to the mathematics through a coherent progression, and provides teachers the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of mathematics, student thinking, and their own teaching practice.
-Open Up Resources: First Grade
