Although I wasn't born in Charlotte, I'm about as close as it comes - my family moved here when I was two. I attended CMS schools, graduating from East Meck in 1990.

I earned a Bachelor of Science in Science teaching with a concentration area of chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1994.

I taught for a year in Tampa, Florida at Jefferson High School, then moved back to Charlotte, where I taught Science and Math at Ranson Middle School. I have been at Myers Park High School since the 2002-03 school year.

I have a current North Carolina teaching certificate that is valid for any science grades 9-12, and am currently working on my Google Educator Certification as well as my Leader Level CMS Technology Badge
