6th Grade School Counselor

I am Pamela W. Gilchrist, 6th Grade Counselor for the 2024-25 school year. I have been at Martin Luther King, Jr. Middle School for several years and have followed students through middle school from the sixth to the eighth grades. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree from North Carolina Central University, Durham, NC in Criminal Justice. I received my Master of Education degree from Winthrop University, Rock Hill, SC in Counseling and Development. I have experience in the areas of criminal justice, domestic violence, and substance abuse also. Please contact me with concerns about your students including grades, tutoring, Power School access and parent conferences. I am available to counsel students in different issues including grades, conflicts, high school options, college and career and a variety of concerns.
