Mrs. Pelliciotta

Mrs. Pelliciotta leads the Talent Development Catalyst Program at McKee Road Elementary School. She is a graduate of UNC-Wilmington's Cameron School of Business where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Finance). Right after college she moved to Charlotte to work for First Union National Bank. Throughout her 15-year banking career, leading successful teams in eCommerce, Technology & Operations and in Learning & Development, one common theme emerged - she has a passion for helping others learn and grow!

During the merger with Wells Fargo, Mrs. Pelliciotta seized the opportunity to leave the corporate world and pursue her passion in a different way. She earned her NC Professional Educator's License through TEACH Charlotte to teach K-6 students! She did her student teaching with rising 6th graders at Ashley Park, a PreK-8 CMS school. Go EAGLES!

Mrs. Pelliciotta was hired as a 2nd grade teacher at McKee in 2012 which was a dream come true! In her first year, she quickly realized the need to continue her own learning to meet the needs of all students. She worked with experts in the fields of Exceptional Children, ESL, and Gifted Learning. In 2016, Mrs. Pelliciotta was selected as a member of the CMS Gifted Education Cohort and went back to UNC-Wilmington (Go Seahawks!) to earn her Academically or Intellectually Gifted licensure.

In 2017, Mrs. Pelliciotta started as the TD Teacher at McKee. She has a deep passion for gifted education and supporting gifted learners. Currently, she is enhancing her knowledge of twice-exceptional (2e) learners and how to best meet their needs. Understanding, advocating, and helping every child learn is her ultimate goal.
