What is MYEP?

MYEP is paid summer internship program for youth.  MYEP participants are motivated high school age youth seeking career exploration or employment opportunities. Participants include youth associated with various community partners, charter schools, home school, e-learning and others. Youth must be 16 on or before April 15, 2026. Charlotte Mecklenburg-School students may contact the Career Development Coordinator (CDC) at their school regarding participating in the MYEP. 

Eligibility

• • Open to ALL eligible High School aged Charlotte Residents that:

  • Will be 16 On or Before April 15, 2026

  • Have a Current Social Security Number (Undocumented student can take the training but cannot be placed in the MYEP. We are working to address this as a program)

  • Are Eligible to Work in USA

All students must complete a set of requirements in order to be eligible to participate in the internship for Summer, 2026.  In order to be eligible you must start now:

4.       JRCT – Required training
