MEDICAL INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

I have scheduled an Interest meeting for students to learn more about the Bridges to Healthcare programs for the upcoming year (Fall 2025 – Summer 2026). This presentation will give students the opportunity to learn about the High School Internship, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Summer Immersion, Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Summer Immersion, and other healthcare career pathways available through the program.

The interest meeting will be held on Sept. 3, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at the school in Room 1237.  If you are interested in attending or have interest and cannot attend at this time, please email Ms. Stitt so we can plan accordingly.  Email:  reneaa.stitt@cms.k12.nc.us

SPORTS BUSINESS DAY

Charlotte FC is hosting a Sports Business Day and are inviting students to attend! This is a unique opportunity for high school and college students to explore careers in the sports industry. They will hear directly from professionals across various departments (Marketing, Partnerships, Finance, Sales, and more) and get an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of Bank of America Stadium. 

Additional details: 

• Sports Business Day Event – Thursday, Sept. 25th from 8:30AM-12:30PM at Bank of America Stadium 

• Tickets start at $42 and include admission to the Charlotte FC vs. CF Montréal match on September 27th at 7:30 PM. 

• Deadline to register is Sept. 18th

HIGH SCHOOL EXPLORING – Boy Scouts of America

Exploring is a unique career exploration program for young men and women. Exploring Posts serve our high school-aged youth.

The program allows students to learn about various career fields and network with professionals already working in those fields. You get hands-on experience to determine whether or not a particular career field is right for you. You develop valuable networking contacts with professionals in your selected career fields, and you get to know other youth with the same interests and aspirations.

HEROES Health Careers Connection

Our Teen Health Careers Club is for high school students that are interested in learning more about careers in healthcare. It meets once a month from 6:00pm – 8:00pm. Students will thoroughly enjoy health science workshops, health career speakers, games and so much more! Applications for the 2025–2026 Health Career Club are now available.
