 Meet the Dilworth Kindergarten Teachers

Mrs. Kelsey Coleman

My name is Mrs. Coleman and I am so excited to be a Dilworth Dragon this school year! I am originally from Northern Virginia, but made my way to North Carolina for college and have been here ever since. I graduated from East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. While this is my first year at Dilworth Elementary, this is my sixth year teaching and third year teaching kindergarten. I recently got married this summer to my husband Corey and we have an adorable yellow lab named Margot. I am so excited to be your child's teacher this year!

Ms. Emily Abell

My name is Emily Abell and I am so excited to be joining Dilworth Elementary! I grew up in Lexington, Virginia but my family moved to North Carolina while I was in college. I graduated from High Point University with my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. This will be my fourth year teaching as well as my fourth year teaching Kindergarten! In my spare time you can find me cheering on the Davidson Wildcats, playing tennis, or relaxing at home with my dog Ash! I can't wait to have an amazing year!

Mrs. Nicole Clair

Welcome to Dilworth Elementary! My name is Nicole Clair. I am originally from upstate New York, but spent most of my childhood in Cary, North Carolina. I graduated from East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Arts in elementary education and a concentration in reading. Over the past 11 years I've taught both kindergarten and first grade, but kinder is where my heart is!  I am married to my husband Brendan, and we have two beautiful kids together. We have our daughter Blake, who will be a 1st grader and our son Easton who is 2.5 years old. I love being a Dilworth Dragon and can't wait for the upcoming school year to start!    

Mrs. Katherine Kotliar

Welcome to Dilworth Elementary!  My name Mrs. Kotliar. I am so excited to be teaching Kindergarten this year! I have been teaching First grade for 5 years and this will be second year teaching Kindergarten. I graduated with a Bachelors in Elementary Education and minor in History. I am a National Board Certified teacher!  I just recently got married this summer in Hawaii and I am looking forward to this new season of life! We are going to have so much fun!


Ms. Ashlyn Main

Hello, my name is Ms. Main. I am excited to be joining the Dilworth family! Prior to teaching at Dilworth, I taught kindergarten at Sterling Elementary. This will be my fourth year of teaching. In 2020, I graduated from Queens University of Charlotte with a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Elementary Education and minor in General Business. Upon graduation, I was awarded the Outstanding Student of the Year in the Cato School of Education. During my time at Queens, I was able to travel to many well-renowned schools within the United States, and still love to travel! When I am not at school, I love to spend time with my friends, go on hikes, and play instruments. 

Mrs. Kristen Moore

Welcome to Dilworth!!! I am so excited to be your child's teacher. My name is Kristen Talbot Moore. I grew up in Philadelphia, PA & Buffalo, NY. This is my 19th year of teaching overall in CMS & my 13th year teaching Kindergarten at Dilworth Elementary School. I love being a Dilworth Dragon! I am a National Board certified teacher & have my Masters in Education.  I taught First grade at Elizabeth Lane Elementary for 6 years. I am married to my wonderful husband Rodney, & we have two beautiful children, Richland(2nd grader) & Reagan(1st grader). I love to swim, be outside, go for walks, play the piano & ukulele, & enjoy each day!  I cannot wait to meet you all! "You're off to great places. Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting, so get on your way!" Dr. Seuss. It's going to be a fantastic school year!
