Biography

Hello everyone! My name is Jemecia Vaughn. I am the dance teacher at both Reid Park and Westerly Hills Academy. I am originally from Fayetteville, NC. I began dancing ballet at the age of 5, which led me to receive my bachelors degree in dance from UNC-Greensboro. This year marks 10 complete years of teaching in public schools!

I enjoy working with children and helping them explore their creativity through the arts. I believe every student should be valued and treated as an individual, and that ARTS education should empower a child to make a positive contribution to the world.
