The students at Jay M. Robinson Middle School are contributors to a secure, warm, and encouraging community and work to reach their fullest educational potential in the areas of academic, career, and social-emotional development. Students will be healthy, responsible, and productive citizens who respect themselves and others.
The mission of the Jay M. Confidentiality Statement
Confidentiality is an important component of the counseling relationship; however, students are informed at the beginning of the counseling relationship that if they reveal they wish to do harm to themselves, someone is harming them, or someone else's safety is threatened, confidentiality will be broken.
In addition, students are encouraged to share with their parent and/or teachers, or the counselor will ask for permission to share if it is relevant to a third party.
