7th Grade Counselor
About me: I grew up in a small North Carolina town and graduated from East Carolina University. After college, I moved to San Diego, CA and completed my Masters in School Counseling at the University of San Diego. I have been a High School Counselor at Butler and Providence High Schools for the last 13 years! This is my 2nd year at JMR. I enjoy spending weekends on the lake with my husband and two boys and if we are not there we can be found on a sports field cheering them on. I am looking forward to a great year with your student!

8th Grade Counselor
About me: I grew up in NYC and upstate NY and received my B.S. from Cornell University and my M.S. from the State University of New York at Oneonta. I started as a counselor at a Job Corps Center in New York in 1993 and moved to Charlotte (after working as a counselor in South Carolina for 4 years) in 1999 and earned my National Board Certification in 2006. I have worked at Jay M. Robinson since it opened in 2002 and consider it my home! For fun I enjoy photography, traveling and dragonboating.

School Psychologist
About me: About me: I grew up in Arlington, VA and attended James Madison University for undergrad. My husband is also a JMU grad - Go Dukes! I went to Winthrop University for my school psychology degree. This is my 12th year as a School Psychologist and my 5th year at JMR. Our son and daughter both attended JMR, Providence, and UNCW, and my daughter now teaches here! We love the mountains and have a cabin in Banner Elk we love to visit. In my free time I love playing with our two sweet dogs (and one mean cat), making crafts, and cheering for the Panthers. I am looking forward to a great year with our students!

School Social Worker
About me: I'm originally from Indiana, but moved to North Carolina 9 years ago. I graduated from UNC Wilmington last May with my degree in social work. This is my first year at Jay M. Robinson Middle School, but my second year as a school social worker. I am so excited to start my journey at JMR and support students and families! In my free time, I enjoy watching Charlotte FC games, spending time with my family and friends, and traveling!

Career Development Coordinator
About me: I'm originally from the Northern Virginia area but have lived in Charlotte for sixteen years. I received my Business Degree from Elon College, and my Post Baccalaureate teaching certification from University of Texas, Austin. I have taught Career and Technical Education courses for 23 years and have also taught fourth and fifth grade. I look forward to helping students learn about their possible career paths. In my spare time I enjoy traveling, spending time with my family, and learning something new!
