Biography
Welcome to CTE Culinary. I'm Chef Piper and I look forward to being your instructor this year. I got my introduction into the industry back in 2010 when I started my first year at Johnson & Wales University for Culinary Arts and Food Service Management. While there, I concentrated in Meeting and Event Planning as well as Wellness and Sustainability which lead me to becoming a vegan. Upon graduation, I floated around in my career mainly in the Hotel industry. I've worked at major hotel chains like Walt Disney World Resorts, Yellowstone National Park, The Hilton, The Omni, and Embassy Suites. For the past 5 years, I owned and operated a 100% vegan bakery and catering business called Green Being Creations.
Now for the personal stuff, I am 29, married, and a dog mommy! I am originally from Newark NJ but I moved here at 11 years so I claim Charlotte as my home. I am BIG I alumni and look forward to teaching in my old stomping grounds.
