Welcome to Hidden Valley's Thomas A. McGee Media Center! Our library was named after a gentleman in our community for his role in establishing a new Media Center for the students of Hidden Valley Elementary School. What a proud moment to have him in our midst. Our library is the heart of the school where students, teachers, staff and parents collaborate using books and technology to enrich our learning experiences. We have a library that is home to over 10,000 books, periodicals, newspapers, DVD's and games that support all aspects of our curriculum. We also have a makeover mindset! Click HERE to find out about our transformation!
Ready for more? Hidden Valley entered the Belk/PNC Media Center Makeover Contest! WE WON! View our submission HERE. Our students are excited and deserving of an awesome innovation lab and library makeover! Thanks to everyone at Hidden Valley Elementary School who made this submission a success! Our rooms were officially opened in mid-September, 2015 See HERE for our announcement.
Hidden Valley Elementary School has a long-standing partnership with the Charlotte Mecklenburg Public Library. Our students and staff were featured in the promotional video for the Storyvine Storytellers. It can be viewed HERE!
Mr. Thomas A. McGee is a longtime friend and volunteer of Hidden Valley Elementary School. The Little Free Library outside his home in Hidden Valley is also named after him for his dedication to the students of this community.
