Ms. Council is a native of Queens Village, New York.  She is the Media Coordinator to the staff and students of Hidden Valley Elementary School since 2007. In the 2017-2018 school year, she was named the Hidden Valley Teacher of the Year, and the Northeast Learning Community Teacher of the Year.  

Ms. Council is a graduate of Spelman College, Emory University, Candler School of Theology and Cambridge College in Boston, MA. She enjoys dancing, writing poetry, travel, missions, volunteering at church and spending time with treasured family and friends.

She is passionate about inspiring children and adults to pursue their dreams and preserving the art of storytelling.  She recently launched her writing and editing business known as Lilz Lines, where she helps others bring the words in their hearts to the printed page.  She is most proud of her teenaged boy/girl twins, who keep her schedule and heart filled to the brim!
