Individual Counseling
Students may be referred by a teacher or parent and students can also refer themselves to talk with the school counselor individually. We provide short term - solution focused brief counseling on a wide variety of topics. Our main goal is to help the individual student cope with their feelings and empower them to problem solve in any situation.
Students may need more intensive counseling depending on situations. We can help with the process of getting the student connected with the appropriate therapist or resources.
Crisis Intervention
Occasionally students may experience crisis during the school day or a crisis could happen at home, school, or surrounding community. Our main job during these events will be to ensure safety and be present while the student processes in order to find the strength to be successful.
Group Counseling
Groups are a fantastic way for students to go through the counseling process with the school counselor. Small groups give students the chance to problem solve with their peers and the validation that they are not alone. Groups encourage positive interaction and helps the students develop life skills.
We will offer groups on various topics throughout the year such as: Grief, Social Skills, Academic Success, Family Changes, Testing Anxiety, Friendship, and/ or Self -Esteem
Classroom Guidance

Lessons will be taught on academic success, social /emotional skills and development, and planning for the future in careers. We also cover topics based on teacher need and feedback for their particular class.
Community Resources
Students and families sometimes find themselves in situations that are hard to handle. You are not alone and you don't have to go through it alone. We can help connect you to the appropriate resources on a case by case basis.
