My name is Faith Huff and I'm the librarian here at Garinger! My husband, Andrew, and I live in Lincolnton, NC with our 100lb Boxer/German Shepherd named Maui and our two cats, Atticus (who I got from Craig's List) and Dasher (who was found as a kitten by a friend of mine while working as a Door Dasher). Andrew is an 8th grade ELA teacher in Gaston County and he's also working through the process of becoming an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church (PCUSA).Â
I've been in education since 2005 as an English and history teacher and a school librarian since 2014. I was most recently the school librarian at Grier Middle School in Gaston County. I still teach at Dream Center Academy in Gastonia on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Being a school librarian is my dream job and I hope to build the Garinger library into the inclusive, welcoming, engaging, and educational space students deserve.
I love hanging out with my nieces (Bexley. who is 3, and Elodie, who is 1.5 years old), reading, knitting, anything Disney, scrolling TikTok with an open book in my lap that I should be reading, buying cups and mugs, listening to Taylor Swift or Hanson, pretending I'm a Broadway star in my car or in community theater, eating Little Debbie Christmas Trees or being sad there are no more Little Debbie Christmas Trees to eat.
