What is Battle of the Books?

Battle of the Books is a state-wide competition at the elementary, middle, and high school level. Each team consists of no more than 12 students. During each round, no more than 6 can participate. Participants answer questions about the books from the year's list in a "In which book..." format. It is a team competition as all 6 students participating in a round can talk before an answer is given (so, no, you aren't expected to read all of the books).
