Dear Elizabeth Lane Talent Development Families,

Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year! As we embark on this brand new virtual journey, we want to make sure to keep you informed of our role in servicing our TD and catalyst students. This year will bring new challenges and new thinking, but we are committed to providing creative and rigorous learning to our students.

Mrs. Bondurant will be starting maternity leave August 21st, and Mrs. Lloyd will continue to be supporting our students during her leave. Collaboration with classroom teachers is even more important this year as it has ever been. Mrs. Lloyd will be closely planning with grade levels to provide differentiated activities for our TD and catalyst students in reading and math during synchronous learning. Activities will be aligned with Envisions topics and the new EL curriculum being implemented this year. These activities will be created or supplied by the TD teacher, then assigned by the classroom teacher in the classroom teacher’s Canvas modules. Virtual support will be available by Mrs. Lloyd during student asynchronous learning time. Mrs. Lloyd will hold virtual office hours via Zoom with links posted on our TD website to support students who need assistance with these activities. Students will be exposed to enrichment that will deepen their understanding of grade level standards and foster higher-level thinking, critical thinking and problem solving.

Our goal is that students:

A Canvas Course has been set up in order to easily communicate TD information to families. Your child will be added to this course and they will receive information through their Canvas email. The course name is TD Certified Course. You can expect updates on any virtual meetings, testing updates, etc.
