birthday books
Celebrate your child's special day by adding a book to our school media center collection in his/her honor. Your child will receive an invitation to select a brand new book and he/she will have their picture taken. Mrs. Wassell will present the book to your child during his/her media class. Your child will be the first to check out the book and when he/she returns it others will enjoy reading it as well. Your child will be recognized on our Birthday Book bulletin board in the hall outside of the media center. Thank you for considering the gift of reading to honor your child's birthday.
Thank you to all the families who honored their child with a book from the Birthday Book program this year! Our media center added 323 books due to your generosity! Over the last 10 years, our students have access to an additional 2,512 books due to the Birthday Book program. These books will be enjoyed for years to come!

A Tournament of Books
Which book will be the 2024 ELE ALL STAR Picture Book of the Year?
During the month of March the ELE Media Center facilitates a tournament of books! (Think March Madness/college basketball.) This year, MM will be an ALL STAR edition! The first 8 MM winning books will compete against one another to determine which title will be “The 2024 ELE ALL STAR Picture Book of the Year!” We continue to enjoy the books until we are down to two titles that will compete in "The Big Game" the last week of March. Stay tuned for results which will be posted each week! May the best book win!
