DJV School Counseling Program Mission

The mission of Dorothy J Vaughan Academy of Technology’s school counseling program is to remove challenges to our scholar’s academic success by supporting their social and emotional development in order for all students to experience a positive and equitable learning environment. DJV’s school counseling program will advocate for all students by collaborating with staff, administrators, parents and the community to meet our scholars’ needs in effort for them to develop the growth mindset necessary to be fully engaged in DJV’s computer science program.
