This is the first course in the Project Lead The Way (PLTW) Biomedical Science program. It provides foundational knowledge and skills in fields such as biology, anatomy & physiology, genetics, microbiology, and epidemiology as well as engage students in how this content can be applied to real-world situations, cases, and problems.
In this course, students take on roles of different medical professionals to solve real-world problems. They will work with the same tools and equipment used by lab professionals as they engage in relevant hands-on work and explore solutions to some of today’s most pressing medical challenges.
