What is NC Boost?

NC Boost Program at CP is a powerhouse partnership between the state of North Carolina, the North Carolina Community College System (NCCCS), and you! It is designed to remove financial and academic barriers so you can focus on what matters: your future. 

Our Commitment to Boost Students:

• Monthly Financial Support: Receive a $100 monthly payment for completing academic coaching sessions.

• Supplies Covered: A $300 supply allowance at the Central Piedmont Bookstore.

• Personal Coaching: A dedicated career and academic coach to help you build success strategies.

• Clear Guidance: Frequent, accurate updates on your progress toward graduation.

Are You Eligible?

• To join the Boost community, applicants must:

• Be a North Carolina resident.

• Have a high school diploma (or be a graduating senior).

• Complete the 26/27 FAFSA.

• Qualify for the Pell Grant or Next NC Scholarship.

• Enroll in an eligible program, including:

  • Advanced Manufacturing & Engineering

  • Information Technology & Public Safety

  • Skilled Trades & Transportation

  • Transfer Programs: Associate in Arts, Science, or Engineering.
