Course Description
is designed to introduce students to the fundamental attitudes, behaviors,
and habits needed to maintain employment in their career choice and make career advancements. Students
should anticipate school-based learning activities including work ethic development, job-seeking skills,
decision-making skills, and self-management. Formal career planning and development of knowledge
regarding transition planning begins in this course and continues throughout the strand of Occupational
Preparation Courses.

-Professionals strive to become experts. Take your coursework seriously. Ask relevant questions.
Participate in practice sessions. Attend tutoring sessions. Meet or exceed mastery level (80%).

In the business world, setting and achieving goals is what defines success. Set realistic goals (both
short and long-term). Establish priorities. Find motivation. Accept temporary setbacks. Monitor your progress.
