Application Process
The Cathy Conroy Memorial Chapter of the NJHS at Community House is an organization that promotes the recognition of students who demonstrate outstanding achievement in the areas of scholarship, character, leadership, citizenship and service. The application process starts in the second semester of 7th grade. 7th graders request to have their grades checked, via a google form, to indicate their interest in applying. Students are eligible to apply if they have earned all A's and no more than 3 B's on their final 6th grade report card AND all A's and no more than 3 B's from the first semester of 7th grade. Elective grades count! Grades are verified by the 7th grade counselor. If students meet this criteria, they will receive the NJHS application. A one page essay where candidates discuss how they exemplify character, citizenship, service and leadership is part of the application.
