Meet the Librarian
Hello!
My name is Christen Higgins and I am the librarian media coordinator for the Charlotte Mecklenburg Virtual School
I earned my Masters degree in Library Science from North Carolina Central University. I have worked extensively in school library media centers throughout the Charlotte Mecklenburg School system.
I was was born here in Charlotte and attended Steele Creek Elementary, Kennedy Jr. High, and Olympic High School in CMS.
When I'm not reading, I like to play video games, craft, and garden. I love to spend time with my husband and two children. I'm obsessed with owls and warm cups of tea and (frankly) I'm surprised you read this far down. Most people give up long before the end. If you're a student and say the code phrase 'the celery stalks at midnight' the next time you see me, you'll get a smile and I'll email you a badly drawn picture.
