2023-24 SECU Foundation People Helping People Scholarship
SECU Foundation established the People Helping People four-year scholarship program to help North Carolina public high school students attend college. The scholarship is valued at $10,000 payable at $1,250 per semester for up to eight consecutive semesters for a senior to attend one of the 16 constituent campuses of the University of North Carolina System.

NC Merit Scholarships
Cheatham-White Scholarship-NC Central/NC A&T
Deadline to be nominated: Nov. 1st
To be eligible to apply for the Cheatham-White Scholarship at North Carolina Central University, a student must satisfy the following criteria at the time of application:
• Be on course to graduate from high school in the spring semester prior to college admission.
• Be admitted as a freshman in the upcoming fall semester into a baccalaureate program at North Carolina Central University.
• Be a United States citizen or permanent resident.
• Have a minimum 4.0 weighted cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale).
• Have a minimum SAT (Math and Evidence-Based Reading) score of 1280 or a minimum ACT score of 28. (OPTIONAL)
• Show exceptional qualities of character and leadership.
• Be significantly involved in extracurricular activities.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to service.

The Park Scholarship-NC State

Eligibility Requirements:
To be eligible for the Park Scholarships program, candidates must:
Have a minimum unweighted GPA of 3.5 and/or a minimum weighted GPA of 4.0.
Be a United States citizen, permanent resident of the U.S., or graduating from a high school located in the U.S. (regardless of citizenship status).
Apply for fall, first-year admission into a baccalaureate program at NC State.
Complete the Park Scholarships application.

THE JOHN M. BELK SCHOLARSHIP
Davidson College’s flagship award
The Belk Scholarship provides comprehensive funding (tuition, fees, food and housing), plus $6,000 in special opportunity stipends.
In order to be considered for this scholarship, you must meet Davidson's Admissions requirements:
Davidson College categorizes four factors as “very important” to the admissions process: rigor of high school course load, volunteer work, recommendations, and character/personal qualities. Items that are “important” as part of the admissions process are: application essays, extracurricular activities, and talent/ability. Interestingly, in an unusual move, GPA 9average 3.5 or higher) and class rank.
Davidson is a test optional school (you are not required to submit ACT/SAT score)
Average unweighted GPA was 3.81
