Through the public library and CMS, teachers and students have access to dozens of databases and resources for free. This includes movies, music, magazines, online classes, research databases, movies, EBOOKS, audio books etc.. all FREE. Below are some of the resources available through One Access.

Tutor.com -Provides up to 10 hours of FREE online homework help each week to all CMS Students in both English or Spanish. Features also include, SAT/ACT prep, submit papers for feedback, resume help, job search tips, skills & test practice. Ferguson’s Career Guidance Center is a comprehensive resource for career exploration and planning that allows users to quickly find the valuable career information they need, whether it’s industry and professions articles, school planning resources, or skills and career advice. Driving Test Prep-Free practice tests for the North Carolina DMV Permit, Road Sign test, NC DMV Motorcycle test, and access to the NC Driver's Handbook in English and Spanish.
Teen Health & Wellness- Provides middle school and high school students with nonjudgmental, straightforward advice and self-help support. Topics include diseases, drugs, alcohol, nutrition, mental health, suicide, bullying, green living, financial literacy, and more.
ADDITIONAL TUTORING RESOURCES
CMVS students have access to several tutoring resources for additional/off hours help with their course work:
NCVPS Peer Tutoring Center & Virtual Buddies: For NCVPS classes only. Students can sign up for help with specific courses or connect with a virtual buddy for help with time management, motivation, etc.
Khan Academy: Free for all students. Short lessons in the form of videos and supplementary practice exercises.
School House World: From the founders of Khan Academy. Global community for free, small-group or 1:1 tutoring sessions on Zoom in SAT® Prep and math–from Pre-algebra to Calculus.
