The mission of MMCHS Student Council is to promote unity while respecting individuality and diversity, uphold a safe and positive learning environment, build and maintain a tradition of excellence, and encourage total involvement with participation in academic and artistic activities.

We are so glad that you want to be a part of the Merancas Middle College High School Student Council! Our Student Council takes a great deal of time, energy, and dedication! If you have made the decision to join Student Council, that means that you are willing to make these commitments. The MMCHS Student Council works hard throughout the year to promote school pride, spirit, and unity. Students interested in serving as a Student Council member should understand the commitment being made to the club and to Merancas Middle College High School. The Officers and Senior Representatives will lead committees and will take an active part in programs and events.

• I must maintain a 3.0 GPA per semester (officers 3.25)

• I must attend all SGA meetings.

• I will participate in all SGA activities, including but not limited to the following: Spirit Days/weeks, fundraisers, and leadership workshops.

• I will maintain and encourage a positive attitude among my peers at MMCHS.

• I will complete a total of 15 community service hours.

• I will pay the $20 Student Fee once admitted to the club
