Purpose

Mu Alpha Theta's purpose is the promotion of scholarship in, and enjoyment and understanding of, mathematics among high school and two-year college students.

Applicant Criteria

Grade 11 or 12
3.0 unweighted GPA
Completion of Math 1 and 2
Completion of/enrollment in Math 3
$20 enrollment fee upon joining

Meetings are held BIMONTHLY on Friday mornings. Meeting attendance once a month is required to remain a member.

Members must serve during 4 tutoring sessions monthly.

Participate in contests and gain access to scholarship money, just by being an active member! You don't have to be a "math person" to be MAT!

Contribute to the school culture by planning our Math Murder Mystery, the MAT drive, or the MAT end of year toast!
