  1. Sabre Advisory is a time and place to build positive school culture.

  2. 45 minute period; required each day between 1st and 2nd block (in school/virtual)

  3. Opportunities to focus on building relationships, community/team building, student-belonging, social justice issues, life skills, and more.

  4. ALL CMS schools are incorporating Sabre Advisory

Social and Emotional Skills We Need:

  1. Self-Awareness - Clear understanding of our own emotions about current events, identities, and implicit bias

  2. Self-Management - Coping with new stressors, controlling gut reactions, practicing new behaviors

  3. Social-Awareness - Ability to understand historical and social contexts (COVID, Charlotte Community)

  4. Relationship Skills - Building and maintaining relationships across distance and difference; supporting others in the face of shared trauma and grief.

  5. Responsible Decision-Making - Analyzing the consequences of our leadership moves on the well-being of others.
