Stephanie Ferron is the Technology Facilitator at David W. Butler High School. She earned a license in Secondary Education and History at Meredith College in 1997, a Master of Arts in Instructional Technology from East Carolina University in 2002, and a license as a Media Specialist from East Carolina University in 2004. Mrs. Ferron has 20+ years of total experience in education and is a Renewed National Board Certified Media Specialist.
Mrs. Ferron started her educational career in Edenton-Chowan Schools in 1997 as a high school Social Studies teacher at John A. Holmes High School. She returned to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools to work as the Media Specialist at South Charlotte Middle School in 2002. She worked at David W. Butler High School from 2007-2010 as a Media Specialist. In 2010 Mrs. Ferron went to Union County Public Schools to work with the 1:1 laptop initiative. Her roles have included Social Studies teacher in middle school, Systems Engineer, and as a Media Specialist.
Mrs. Ferron is very excited to return to Butler High School. She helped launch the Chromebook Take Home Initiative here at Butler. Mrs. Ferron is a Google Certified Educator Level 1 and 2 and a Canvas expert. She loves interacting with students, teaching, and geeking out with technology. Mrs. Ferron has two school age children and her husband is also in education. In her spare time when she is not on a ball field for her own kids; she enjoys reading, and running half-marathons.
