CCP & NCVPS Guidelines
What is dual enrollment (College and Career Promise)?
College and Career Promise (CCP) is a dual enrollment partnership between
CMS and Central Piedmont Community College that allows junior and senior
high school students to take college classes for both high school and college
credit. Only a max of 8 CPCC classes will be included on the transcript.
What is NCVPS?
North Carolina Virtual Public School (NCVPS) is a state funded course
provider. It allows students to take new credit courses online from certified
teachers in a variety of subject areas. Students at BR can utilize NCVPS for
classes that we do not teach in the building. Students will NOT be able to start a
new language course on NCVPS.
How do I fill out my card if I want CCP/NCVPS classes?
Students who are interested in NCVPS and/or CCP enrollment should still
complete their registration card with 8 top choices and 6 alternates from
the BR card. Because the timeline for enrollment in these programs is different
than CMS course registration, any necessary schedule changes or drops will be
handled individually at a later date. You will discuss your intentions for NCVPS
and/or CCP enrollment with your counselor during your registration appointment.
