Supplies and Expectations

All classes:

  • Sketch pad--This becomes a portfolio (Students can use a prior apparel class sketch pad and continue the portfolio)

Apparel I:

  1. 4- fat quarters for samples

  2. $2.00 for the purchase of a pattern. (Fabric for the pajama pants will be purchased later. Fabric for the pajama top will be provided.)

  3. Optional Sewing Kit: 8" fabric shears, tape measure, pins, hand sewing needles, seam ripper.

Apparel II

  1. $4.00 for the purchase of two patterns.

  2. $10.00 at a date to be announced for the purchase of student designed textile from Spoon Flower

  3. Sewing Kit: 8" fabric shears, pins (the ones with the ball heads measuring no less than 1 1/4"), measuring tape, hand sewing needles, seam ripper)

  4. 4-fat quarters for samples

Costume Design

  1. Sewing kit from Apparel II--Students will need a variety of hand sewing needles.

  2. Drawing pencils--2B and 4B

EXPECTATIONS

  • Computer (should be fully charged) all test are given electronically.

  • Prepared for class with all supplies needed for that class period, including any fabric required

  • Ready to work when the bell rings.

  • Cell phones are away and out of sight per the school policy. (they should be in the student's book bag and on vibrate or off). A cell phone will be confiscated and brought to the front office for the parent to pick up if taken out.

  • All homework is to be completed and ready to turn in when class begins. If a student allows another student to copy their work, both will get a zero for that assignment.
